Swederm sp. z o. o. with headquarters in Gdynia, address: ul. Szyprów 2, 81-561 Gdynia, KRS: 0000901627, hereinafter "Swederm", commits to ensuring accessibility of the website https://swederm.eu for all users.
Swederm's goal in the area of accessibility is to counteract discrimination and ensure equal treatment for everyone, including people with special needs, to the greatest extent possible, on an equal basis with others.
LEGAL BASIS
- Act of April 26, 2024, on ensuring compliance with accessibility requirements for certain products and services by business entities.
- Regulation of the European Parliament and of the Council (EU) 2019/882 (European Accessibility Act – EAA).
WHAT IS ACCESSIBILITY?
Digital accessibility means creating websites, applications, and documents in such a way that everyone can use them – including people with special needs and disabilities.
Information should be understandable and readable or audible, regardless of whether the user sees, hears, moves freely, or has other special needs.
A website that ensures digital accessibility is one that:
- works with screen readers for blind people;
- has appropriate text contrast and readable fonts;
- can be navigated using only a keyboard;
- has text descriptions (alternative text) for images and graphics;
- has subtitles or transcripts for videos.
The goal of digital accessibility is so that everyone – regardless of limitations – can independently find the information they need.
HOW DO WE ENSURE DIGITAL ACCESSIBILITY?
Swederm, as the owner of the online store, takes actions aimed at ensuring digital accessibility of the website in accordance with WCAG 2.1 AA requirements and the European Accessibility Act.
We conduct audits and test accessibility through:
- regular accessibility audits of the website;
- testing the site using automated tools and screen readers;
- checking the correctness of header structure, forms, and content contrast.
Swederm adapts the technical side of the website through:
- implementing alternative descriptions (alt) for graphics and buttons;
- ensuring website operation using only a keyboard;
- using readable fonts and contrasting colors;
- improving form handling, including field descriptions, validation, and error messages.
We use alternative forms of access such as:
- providing transcripts and subtitles for video materials;
- offering content in simplified version (Easy-to-Read language – ETR);
- enabling information access by phone or through contact form.
We facilitate access to information and contact with us through:
- placing accessibility declaration on the website;
- designating a contact person for digital accessibility matters;
- providing a simple form for reporting accessibility problems.
We care about training and supervision through:
- training Swederm employees and collaborators on digital accessibility principles;
- implementing procedures for responding to complaints related to inaccessibility;
- considering accessibility principles when updating content and developing the site.
