What are frown lines?
Frown lines (glabellar lines, also called "11 lines") are vertical lines between the eyebrows that develop from years of repeatedly tensing the corrugator muscle (musculus corrugator supercilii).
Where do frown lines come from?
From frowning when you concentrate, get annoyed or squint in the sun. With age, the skin loses elasticity and collagen, so the line no longer smooths out.
How do you soften frown lines?
Cosmetics with retinol stimulate collagen production. Peptides (Argireline) relax the muscles. Hyaluronic acid plumps and hydrates. SPF 50+ prevents UV rays from deepening the line.
What professional procedures are there?
Botulinum toxin for a few months, injected hyaluronic acid to fill the line and mesotherapy to regenerate the skin – all of them procedures performed by a doctor, and your dermatologist can advise you on them.
