What are razor bumps?

Razor bumps are small red bumps or pus-filled pimples that appear after hair removal. The cause is mechanical irritation of the hair follicles or ingrown hairs.

How do you prevent razor bumps?

Before shaving: take a warm shower and exfoliate. Use sharp, clean blades and shaving foam. Shave in the direction of hair growth. Afterwards, rinse with cool water and apply a soothing lotion.

What helps with razor bumps?

Cosmetics with salicylic acid (dissolves dead skin cells and frees ingrown hairs), panthenol and allantoin (soothing). Tea tree oil has an antibacterial effect.

What should you avoid?

Don't squeeze the bumps – this can lead to infections and scars. Give your skin a break before the next shave.
