What is salicylic acid?

Salicylic acid is an oil-soluble beta hydroxy acid (BHA). This lets it pass through the sebum layer into the pores – something AHA acids can't do.

How does salicylic acid work?

It clears the pores of excess sebum and impurities, prevents blackheads, has an antibacterial effect on acne-causing bacteria and calms irritation.

How do you use salicylic acid?

In the evening after cleansing, in a concentration of 0.5–2%. Start with two to three times a week. Don't use it during pregnancy. In the morning, SPF 50+ is a must.

Who is salicylic acid for?

Ideal for blemish-prone, oily and combination skin with blackheads. If you have sensitive skin, start with the lowest concentration.
